About me, Ky!
Hi, I’m Kylene—Ky, unless you’re my grandma or someone trying to sell me extended car warranties. I’m the founder of Balanced AF Bookkeeping, and after years of working across the accounting spectrum, from cashier to controller, I finally decided to build a business that matches how I work: with precision, flexibility, and a little bit of chaos. I work with a wide range of businesses, including those in the cannabis industry, where compliance and clean books are non-negotiable. But don’t worry, you don’t have to sell weed to work with me. If you're a creative, a service provider, a messy startup, or just someone who'd rather hand off the books to someone who gets it, I'm here for you, too.
BAF was born out of my love for solving messy financial puzzles and my not-so-secret obsession with reconciliations. I’m currently working toward my Master’s in Accounting, and I run this operation from home in Florida, powered by caffeine, brain fog, determination, and my shadow-dog Groot (he follows me literally everywhere).
By the way, my images are artificial intelligence, but I am as real as it gets and these are all my ideas, words, and work. I'm not exactly photogenic and there are some really fun tools these days! Try them! I would have never launched this site if I had to plaster my face all over it. I mean, on a seriously good day, skinny day, I would resemble this character, but in flipflops.
